Accommodating up to eight people over three floors, this large and attractive self-catering property boasts five bedrooms of various sizes and caters perfectly for a large family or group of friends. Meals can be enjoyed in Livingstone House's dining room or if the weather is nice, why not enjoy al fresco dining with a barbeque on the house's extensive lawn?
Unwind with a boat ride on the nearby River Dee which also offers excellent course fishing, and take in the superb views of the valley. With a number of RSPB nature reserves in the area as well as the magnificent Galloway Forest Park, birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice with red kites, red squirrels and other birds of prey regularly spotted. The centre of the picturesque market town, Castle Douglas, is just a short distance away and has plenty of attractive craft shops and popular cafes to discover. The imposing National Trust for Scotland property, Threave Castle, is well worth a visit and is reached through a short boat ride from the town.
