Loch Awe House

Overview

Set in 20 acres of woodland, with free fishing from the shore, the lodge is in wildly romantic countryside complete with castles, mountains, waterfalls and an abundance of wildlife. Also, if you like fishing, the loch is full of record breaking trout and pike. There are walks in abundance. Guests will definitely require a car for which there is ample parking. There is also room to park and launch small boats. Breakfast is served in the large windows of the guest lounge/dining room where in the evenings, over a candlelit dinner, the sun sets over the loch. A log fire is lit if the temperature is not up to Scotland's best.

We are not licensed, so guests are invited to bring their own drinks. We do however, offer a free bottle of wine to couples having dinner. The aim of the house is to offer a quiet, peaceful holiday in a very romantic setting , with the simple things that make a holiday enjoyable, done well. Loch Awe House is a large lodge style house in an elevated position , overlooking magnificent Loch Awe - the longest loch in the British Isles, with panoramic views to all sides. Set in 20 acres of woodland, with free fishing from the shore, the lodge is in wildly romantic countryside complete with castles, mountains, waterfalls and an abundance of wildlife. Also, if you like fishing, the loch is full of record breaking trout and pike. There are walks in abundance but because we are 9 miles from the main road guests will definitely require a car for which there is ample parking. There is also room to park and launch small boats.

Loch Awe House is newly opened and as such we are still awaiting a Visit Scotland grading. However, with our large spacious en suite rooms, all with twin aspect views and a high standard of furnishings, you will not be disappointed. All beds are king sized and all bathrooms have both bath and shower. One room has a large private balcony.

Breakfast is served beside the large windows of the large guest lounge/dining room , where in the evenings over a candlelit dinner, the sun can be watched setting over the loch. A log fire is lit if the temperature is not up to Scotland's best. We are not licensed, so guests are invited to bring their own drinks. We do however, offer a free bottle of wine to couples having dinner. Dinner is normally 3 courses plus coffee and is traditional in style but done with flair.

You will find your non smoking room immaculately clean and to this end the house does not cater for pets or children under 12yrs of age.

The aim of the house is to offer a quiet, peaceful holiday in a very romantic setting , with the simple things that make a holiday enjoyable, done well.
