A warm welcome with a Dutch touch awaits all our guests, the moment they arrive at Lochan Cottage. We are a family-run guesthouse, situated in a quiet area and yet only 2 miles from the town centre, with its shops, pubs and restaurants. We offer a choice of six bedrooms, 5 double rooms, each with king-size double beds and one twin room with two single beds, most of which have views of the garden and mountains.
Beautifully furnished to offer comfort and quality to a high standard.
All the rooms are on the ground floor so that guests have no stairs to climb. Very suitable for people with mobility difficulties. All have en-suite facilities (with shower or bath and shower, handbasin and toilet), central heating, LCD flat screen TV, clock/radio, hospitality tray, toiletries, hair dryer and free WIFI access. Enjoy breakfast of you choice in our bright conservatory and you may see wildlife in our garden. Some of the favourites on our menu are fresh fruit cocktail and scrambled eggs with local smoked salmon.
Our beautifully landscaped garden has been awarded for several times first prize in the Coal in Bloom scheme and has become a haven for all kind of wildlife. From two of the rooms facing the garden you can see a wide variety of birds sitting on the feeders. It's very relaxing watching them from your window or bed. Wander around in our almost one acre garden or relax and sit back on our garden furniture and admire stunning views of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Great Britain.
Fort William & Lochaber are the 'Outdoor Capital of the UK. Perfect for all kind of outdoor activities or touring the magnificent scenery of the Highlands. Stay for a while and explore places like Glen Nevis, Glencoe and the Road to the Isles, by car or even by steam train. Or treat yourselves to a romantic short break. We have special offers for all seasons. Check our website for details.
Unfortunately we have no family/triple rooms and cannot accommodate children under 12 years old. Parking is no problem. There is ample off-street parking in our grounds.
