Lochearn House was originally built as a croft in 1780 and has since been sympathetically extended and modernised to offer three superior double en-suite bedrooms and a lounge. We are Visit Scotland 4 star rated, are members of “Scotland's Best Bed and Breakfasts” and pride ourselves on our commitment to make your stay as comfortable, relaxing and as memorable as possible.
There is so much to see and do in this truly beautiful area, which is well known for fishing, cycling, touring and walking as well as all the fun events taking place on the Loch throughout the year.
Lochearnhead plays host to the amazing “World Black Faced Sheep Shearing” every year as well as holding its own Highland Games, where old and new friends meet from all over the word, always great fun. Not to be missed is the Stuc a Chroin Hill Race held locally for the super fit, as well as lovely scenic walks for the not quite so energetic amongst us.
We are centrally placed for touring the area, with most places being within easy reach for interesting days out. Information is readily available from Matthew if you are looking for inspiration.
We have Wi-Fi available throughout the house to contact your friends and relatives and tell them of the exciting and fun things you have been doing. Matthew who is a Chef and Dianne who is a renowned longarm quilter have owned and run their own Hotels and Restaurants all their lives, are now retired and enjoy welcoming guests to their lovely Bed and Breakfast.
We have three double en-suite bedrooms all with a king size bed, double walk in shower, hospitality tray, hairdryer, TV/Video/Docking Station.
There is a comfortable lounge which is the perfect place to chill out with evening drinks – as we are not licensed, feel free to bring your favourite tipple with you – meet other guests and chat about your adventures during the day and swap experiences.
Breakfast is served in the Dining Area with a strong emphasis on locally sourced produce with a strong Scottish theme. As Matthew is a Chef he offers a Daily Special and loves to bake bread, scones, cakes and pasties, keep your eyes open for these little treats. Packed lunches are avaialbel if you are going exploring or walking.
