Lon Ban with the hill it is named after to the back of the house

Set in the lee of the hill it is named after Lon Ban overlooks the calming sea-view of Loch Harport. Sitting out on the decking to the Carbost side of the house will give you a view of the atmospheric Cuillin Hills.

Lon Ban is a modern comfortable house capable of sleeping six people in three large bedrooms, all are en-suite.  What ever the weather Lon Ban is an ideal base to explore from, take your bikes, canoes or what ever else you need as there is ample secure storage in the detached garage.  In the main hall there is a large cupboard where the pipes for the underfloor heating are and this makes an ideal place to dry your walking gear and boots.

Skye has many facets to its character from dramatic mountains with some of the world's best climbing to hidden gems like the Fairy Glen near Uig. Take a walk to the Fairy Pools at the base of the Cuillin to see sparkling clear water cascade down the rivers that are formed in the Cuillin.
Visit the ClanDonald centre in Sleat, Dunvegan Castle or the Museum of Island Life in Kilmiur to learn about some of the history of Skye. Visit Staffin museum to see dinosaur fossils. To learn about the Sea Eagle or the Golden Eagle stop off at the Aros Centre on the outskirts of Portree.   Skye takes time to explore and beguiles visitors world wide to come back.   Autumn brings wonderful hues of purple, red, green, yellow and brown. Brave a snowy winter to see the land transformed into different shades of white.
