Newly renovated from its former incarnation as a Fife farm coach house, this large, centuries old stone building that is Lone Star Bed and Breakfast Haven lies just a few short miles from the fabled The Old Course in St Andrews and the fine Kingsbarns course - golfer's paradise."¨"¨Equally close to the St Andrews town centre, top area restaurants and fine sandy beaches, Lone Star is perfectly situated for holiday comfort and convenience. With the nearby Fife Coastal Path for walking/hiking, gorgeous Fife harbour villages, boat trips, acclaimed nature reserves, castles and stately homes, golf courses galore, area hotel spas and plenty of lush rolling fields, pastures and farmlands for wandering at will, guests at Lone Star are spoiled for choice for solitary or group excursions. Prices include full buffet cold and hot-to-order breakfast. Our in-house French Trained chef received the only 5 of 5 for our fine breakfasts that VisitScotland has awarded in over 10 years. Also included are complete access to the fireplace lounge/game room, private walled gardens, wildlife garden and pond, countryside walks, etc.

We offer dinner to our guests as well (by request) and soon will open the property to fine dining for the public.

We are 2 miles (approx) south of the Grange Hotel out the Grange Road. We are 8 minutes from town, about 12 minutes from the Old Course Hotel and we are situated equally between Kingsbarns and The Old Course.

We are open between April 15 and October 15 each year.
