Overview

The beautiful farmhouse enjoys a spectacular rural location, surrounded by miles of lush green fields and rolling countryside. Each of the modern en suite bedrooms, one double, one twin and one family suite, enjoys glorious views and has a digital TV, hairdryer, electric blanket, tea and coffee facilities and an alarm clock/radio, plus local tourist information, so you can get the most out of your stay in this beautiful corner of Scotland. The family suite has a cosy open plan living and dining room with a gas fire, two modern bathrooms and a fully fitted modern kitchen.

The homely living room is available for your use with a cosy wood/coal burning stove and a 42 in flat screen TV and DVD recorder, and there is a games room for all the family with a ping pong and pool table. A secure bike shed, bikes and wash down facilities are also available. On an afternoon, enjoy tea in the bright and airy conservatory or pretty gardens, where you can relax under the fruit trees and soak up the sunshine. Keep your eyes peeled for the resident chaffinches, sparrows, tits and woodpeckers, who call the garden home.

Enjoy a full Scottish breakfast with all the trimmings or one of the lighter options such as delicious free range poached, scrambled or fried hen or duck eggs. Homemade preserves are also served along with locally produced honey and a choice of fresh bread. A selection of six cereals, yoghurts, orange juice, tea, coffee or hot chocolate and grapefruit along with porridge, on request, are also available. Hearty evening meals and packed lunches can be provided.Explore the farm on the farm walk and take the opportunity to meet all the animals including the Belted Galloways, sheep, chickens, ducks and horses. Low Kirkbride is superb for those seeking a country retreat and is ideally situated within Dumfries & Galloway for easy access to local attractions.
