From the east and Edinburgh: Head west on A720 Edinburgh bypass following signs for Stirling. Take M8 to Junction 2 then M9 to Junction 3 signed for Linlithgow. Take A803 to Linlithgow. Travel along High Street then take the A706 for Lanark. Lumsdaine is 1.5 miles along this road.

From Stirling and the north: Take the M9 south to Junction 4 signed for Linlithgow. Take the A803 to Linlithgow. At the traffic lights turn right. Follow this road until the mini roundabout - turn right on the A706. Lumsdaine is 1 mile up this road.

From Glasgow and the west: Take the M8 east to Junction 4. Take the A801 signed for Falkirk. Follow this road until you see the sign for Linlithgow A706. Lumsdaine is 2 miles down this road on the left just after you cross the Union Canal.

Public Transport Directions

Getting there by railway:- Linlithgow has a station with trains arriving from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling. Then a short taxi journey to Lumsdaine.

Getting there by aeroplane:- From Edinburgh Airport take A8 west for Glasgow then M9 signed for Stirling to Junction 3 signed for Linlithgow. Take A803 into Linlithgow. Travel along High Street and take A706 for Lanark. Lumsdaine is 1.5 miles along this road.

Getting there by ferry:- From Rosyth take the A985 east to M90. Go south over the Forth Road Bridge. Once over bridge take the A904 for Bo'ness. Then take the A803 to Linlithgow. Travel along High Street then take A706 for Lanark. Lumsdaine is 1.5 miles along this road.
