Dunlichity House is a welcoming, Scottish country house set in 12 acres of spectacular highland countryside.
Set in the heart of magnificent fishing, golfing, walking, and cycling country it is just a 15 minutes drive to the highland capital of Inverness, 10 minutes from Loch Ness, and 30 minutes from Aviemore. Incorporating many traditional Scottish features, the house nestles between forest and lochans on a raised knoll at the end of its own private driveway. The house has its own pure highland water from a spring 240 feet underground. Outstanding scenery surrounds the house in all directions, and guests may see osprey, otters, badgers, pheasant, deer, heron and ducks on the grounds.
The MacGillivray Wing offers rooms with en-suite facilities, separate lounge and dining rooms, and a range of facilities including flyfishing on our own lochans, cycle hire, outside play area and ample parking. Our younger guests can enjoy the 14 ft trampoline and swings.
For guests wishing to bring their dogs on holiday, kennel facilities can be booked in our modern, underfloor heated kennels.
Excellently located for numerous local attractions including Culloden Battlefield, Cawdor Castle, Fort George, Dolphin watching, and Loch Ness, the house is also within 5 minutes walk of the burial ground of Clan MacGillivray. Sporting facilities are also in abundance, with several local golf courses (some with preferential rates), horse riding, good cycling and walking routes, fishing, and stalking.
