    Marie Cottage is a traditional cottage in the coastal village of Gullane in East Lothian. Fully equipped self-catering accommodation which is a 5 minute walk from the centre of the village.

    The cottage is on two floors. On the ground floor there is a sitting room with a digital TV and DVD player and a kitchen with a dining area for four people. The kitchen is equipped with all the utensils that you will need, including a gas cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher.
    On the first floor there are two bright bedrooms and a spacious bathroom. There is a double bedroom with large double bed and a small single room with full-sized bunk beds. The bathroom has a bath and an electric shower. All linen and towels are provided.
    Outside there is a small private garden and a drying area at the rear.

    The cottage is a 5 minute walk from the centre of the village which has an excellent selection of shops, cafes and pubs. The area is perfect for coastal walks and beach holidays, and is a great base for golfers.
    The town of North Berwick which is a 10 minute drive away, offers a number of attractions including a beautiful beach, harbour and the award winning Scottish Seabird Centre. In the summer there are boat trips to and around the neighbouring islands.
    The City of Edinburgh is within 35 minutes drive.
    Unfortunately no pets are allowed and there is a strict no smoking policy.

    Road Directions

    From Edinburgh or the Edinburgh city by-pass take the A1 heading east. Turn off at the junction for the A198, sign-posted North Berwick. Follow the A198 through Longniddry, Aberlady and then into Gullane. Continue along the Main Street through the town passing the Golf Hotel on your left. After the Golf Hotel take the third road on the left into Broadgait, as you turn into Broadgait there are 2 gates on your left and immediately after this a lane which leads to Marie Cottage.

    Public Transport Directions

    From the nearest information centre:- The nearest Tourist Information Centre is in North Berwick, 4 miles away. Follow the signs for Gullane (A198) and as you enter Gullane there is a Fire Training Centre on the left. After the Fire Training Centre take the second road on the right into Broadgait. As you turn into Broadgait there are 2 gates on your left and immediately after this a lane which leads to Marie Cottage.

    Getting there by railway:- North Berwick is the nearest railway station. Follow the TIC directions above.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- Edinburgh Airport is the nearest airport. Take the A8 to the city by-pass, take the by-pass east to the A1 and once on the A1 follow the directions from Edinburgh as above.
