Overview
The extensively furnished and fully equipped house can sleep up to 8 people in 5 spacious bedrooms. Maurinsey House is situated at the end of a 'no through road', has 5 bedrooms- one with ensuite, 1 bathroom with Jacuzzi, 1 shower room with wc, a fully fitted kitchen, utility room and spacious lounge with uninterrupted views of Dunnet beach and forest. We welcome children - cot and high chair available on request.
The house is 5 years old and is within walking distance of our historic church, pub, village hall, Surfing beach (seadrift visitor centre), Forest (walks and bird watching), Mary-Ann's historic Cottage and local bus services.
Dunnet is
• 4 miles from the village of Castletown which has a heritage centre, well stocked shop, post office and butcher who sells local produce
• 9 miles from Thurso - Railway Station, Horizon Museum
• 20 miles from Wick - Airport, Heritage centre, Pulteney Distillery
• 6 miles fom the Castle of Mey - the holiday home of the late queen mother and now prince Charles and Camilla.
Our price includes bedding, towels, electricity, central heating and household cleaning materials
Normal bookings from Saturday afternoon to Saturday morning but other times may be available.
