The Baronial splendour of Ardoe House, hidden away among 30 acres of rolling Aberdeenshire countryside, bears a distinctively familiar grace.
Inspired by the royal residence at Balmoral Castle, a few miles upstream, Ardoe House Hotel is a luxurious modern hotel, beautifully crafted from an imposing 19th century mansion house.
Built without moderation, Ardoe House is a brilliant marriage of Victorian opulence and contemporary elegance. Intricately carved staircases, enormous fireplaces and rich wood panelling are the hallmarks of a hotel which offers the tired traveller and busy business guest a tranquil retreat from the pressures of the world outside.
Throwing open your window to capture the morning light as it spills over the River Dee is one of the pure delights of a stay at the Hotel. We've created over one hundred bedrooms in this historic setting, each one capturing the distinctly romantic mood of the surrounding countryside.
Classic four poster beds are the order of the day, complemented by antique furnishings and refined, indulgent bathrooms. But these are rooms with an eye on the future as much as a foot on the past, with satellite TV,
24 hour room service and, in our recently-completed bedrooms, generous workspace and modern communication facilities.
The Spa Naurel, beauty and fitness club at Mercure Ardoe House boasts the following facilities, Indoor Pool, Sauna, Steam room, Jacuzzi, fitness suite and an extensive range of beauty and relaxation treatments.
