Barvas is situated on west coast of the Isle of Lewis, close to the Atlantic ocean well known for Surfing Fishing and Bird Watching. The cottages are on a working croft landscape with nearby machair beaches and lies adjacent to the Lewis Peatlands SPA where a range of species breed including Golden Eagle, Red throated Divers and Dunlin providing a near unique peatland experience. The buildings are designed with sustainable Larch clad and environmentally friendly with a renewable heating system. There is a river running through the croft and close to Loch Mhor Bharabhais with excellent salmon and trout fishing. The cottages are 4 berth with zipped link beds to suit two couples or four singles. Barvas is only 13 miles by road from the airport, ferry terminal, shops and facilities of Stornoway. 15 mins drive to Callanish and 15 miles to the Butt of Lewis and beautiful sandy beaches of Port of Ness and the Amazing children's play park in Eoropie.
