Morroch Bay Beach Cottages

Overview

Each of these south-facing beach cottages are approximately 0.25 miles apart and enjoy a secluded spot in an exclusive bay, but are still less than 2 miles away from the picturesque fishing village of Portpatrick and all its attractions.

Both of the stylish seaside cottages have been beautifully restored with your comfort in mind, including cosy wood burning stoves for chiller nights, home entertainment centres, modern facilities and all the necessities you need to make your stay a great one.

Sleeping eight, Morroch Cottage's main feature is its beautiful seafront veranda which provides the perfect place to relax and unwind as you enjoy a chilled glass of wine and take in the wonderful views and calming lapping sound of the sea. Alternatively, Southern Croft sleeps four and is a traditional croft house which has been completely modernised, with underfloor heating, sea-facing French windows and the addition of a shore front patio which opens out directly onto the rocky shoreline, which protected by the Scottish Natural Heritage Trust. On a clear day you can see across to the Isle of Man and at night the lighthouses on the Irish coast complement the stars as the only surrounding lights.

The cottages are only directly accessible by a four-wheel drive vehicle or a short walk from the cliff top. Please note that only experienced off-road drivers should attempt driving down the cliff and a pick-up service is provided for other visitors.

Portpatrick with its beautiful harbour, stunning cliff paths, independent stores and fantastic visitor attractions is only 10 minutes away by boat or Land Rover. The area is famed for its gardens, in particular Logan Botanic Garden, while the area is also perfect for enjoying outdoor pursuits including walking, golf, fishing, cycling and watersports.
