Overview

Situated on the South side of Edinburgh and set within a 200 acre picturesque country estate lies the beautifully maintained Mortonhall Caravan and Camping Park. Just 15 minutes from the city centre and 5 minutes from the city bypass by car and with a bus link every 15 minutes at the end of the drive it is very accessible to all.

Edinburgh has a fabulous selection of restaurants, cinemas, theatres and shopping centres and an abundance of historical attractions including Edinburgh Castle and The Royal Mile. There are numerous golf courses and walks nearby together with pony trekking, ten pin bowling, the dry ski slope and Murrayfield, the home of Scottish rugby. Edinburgh’s famous festivals are a must visit, The International Festival, The Fringe, Film Festival, Hogmanay Street Party and the Royal Military tattoo to name but a few.
Mortonhall accommodates touring caravans, motorhomes, tents and has 20 holiday homes for hire and 8 wooden wigwams. The modern facilities include fabulous toilet blocks with free showers and under floor heating, chemical disposal points, well stocked licensed shop providing groceries, gifts and caravan accessories, fully equipped laundry and kitchen facilities. There is also a bar and restaurant on site, games room and TV lounge.
Our Thistle award holiday homes sleep up to 8 people in 1 double room and 2 twin rooms with a double bed settee in the lounge area. All linen and towels are provided for your party. The kitchens are fully fitted and include a microwave and fridge freezer and all holiday homes have a flat screen TV with DVD player and Freeview.
An easy access holiday home is also available for wheelchair assisted guests (Cat 2 accessible).
A city break can be combined with glamping in our wooden wigwams. They are fully insulated with controllable heating and have a microwave, kettle, fridge and TV. You will have to bring your own sleeping bags, linen and towels but there is a kitchen with cooking facilities nearby and all wigwams have their own Bar B Q area.
We have a shop, games room and TV lounge onsite and The Stable Bar and Restaurant is open all year.
Mortonhall Caravan and Camping Park offers something for everyone whether you are visiting for a city break, working away from home or visiting a specific attraction or event. Combining country living and city entertainment, Mortonhall is also an ideal base for Edinburgh and Southern Scotland.
PLEASE NOTE OUR HOLIDAY HOMES AND WIGWAMS ARE SELF CATERING.
