Set amidst the beautiful Angus countryside, Muirhouses is a livestock and arable farm traditional to the area, here at the foot of the Grampian mountains.
Crops grown include barley for malting whisky, potatoes and grass. A suckler cow herd of Angus x Limousins with their calves and a small pedigree herd of Limousin cows make up the livestock part of the farming enterprise.
Muirhouses is the ideal base for golfing, being next to Kirriemiur golf course with its panoramic views of the Grampian mountains, and within easy reach of the Alyth, Rosemount, Edzell, Brechin, Forfar, Carnoustie and St Andrews courses.
Hillwalking, mountaineering, cycling, fishing, touring the castles and stately homes of the area (of which there are many), or just relaxing and enjoying the scenery makes this part of Angus a perfect base.
Excellent home cooking for your breakfast in the morning after a restful night's sleep in the peace of the countryside - only the birds and cows to disturb you.
Look out from your bedroom window to the splendid Kirriemuir golf course with its parkland setting and superb views of the Grampian mountains, or view Caddam Woods of historic McBeth fame, from the spacious family room. The Airlie Monument on top of Tulloch Hill makes a stunning silhouette at the foot of Glens Clova and Prosen.
