From SouthTake the A9 North from Inverness, then via the A9/A835 to Garve. After Garve turn left - west on the A832 to Achnasheen, Kinlochewe and continue North on the A832 to Gairloch. Drive through the village (past harbour, golf course, Gairloch hotel). Turn left at junction sign posted to Melvaig - B8021. See below directions to Muldoanich
From North
Take the A835 from Ullapool, turn right on to the A832 and continue South to Gairloch. Turn right On entering the village at junction sign posted to Melvaig - B8021.

Public Transport Directions
From the nearest information centre:- On leaving the tourist office turn right, then take the first left turn at junction sign posted to Melvaig - B8021.Follow this road 0.8 miles as it continues through the village. (past school, along shore side, past Mill Croft Hotel, village square, and old folks home) Continue driving west, cross cattle grid. Take second road on right. (first road right runs to one house). Follow road to top of the hill. At the top of the hill there are two gateways, take the right hand entrance over cattle grid. Muldoanich is directly ahead of you. Drive up to entrance to unload luggage.
Getting there by railway:- For rail travellers, there is a railway station at Achnasheen which is some 29 miles from Gairloch. There are local taxi and bus services operating in Gairloch
Getting there by aeroplane:- For those wishing to travel here by air, Inverness Airport is some 77 miles from Gairloch and car hire is readily available either from the airport or from Inverness itself. The drive from the airport to Gairloch is comparatively easy, mostly on good roads, and normally takes less than 2 hours.
