    Munro Guest House is a small,  friendly, family run guest house close to the centre of Stirling, five minutes walk from the bus and rail stations and ten minutes walk to Stirling Castle. Close to shops, restaurants and pubs, so no need to have a car if you do not want to. It is an ideal base to visit Stirling and the surrounding area and is within easy reach of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs and beyond.

    We offer the choice of family, double or twin rooms with the majority of rooms having en-suite shower and toilets facilities. All rooms have colour TV and hospitality tray.

    Freshly prepared traditional breakfast using local produce.  Open all year.

    Rates vary depending on the season but as a guide a double en-suite room is £62 per night and the family room is £95 per night for a family of four.

    Road Directions

    From Glasgow take the M8 Motorway from the airport (Junction 29) and head EAST towards Glasgow and Edinburgh. You will go through the centre of Glasgow. Just beyond the city centre at JUNCTION 13 take the M80 for Stirling. The road is fairly straight forward from here, just follow the signs for Stirling. The road changes name along the way M80 to A80 to M80 to M9.

    From Edinburgh go WEST along the A8 towards the M9 and take the M9 to Stirling.

    Once you get close to Stirling there are two  routes signed  to the Town Centre. Go past the first at Junction 9, signed for A91 and go to Junction 10 signed for Stirling and A84. You will pass the Castle high to your right, in the distance, between junctions 9 and 10.

    Take the A84 EAST to Stirling.

    Following the signs for Stirling heading for the castle. At the firestation turn left past the fire station and keep the castle on your right, until you come to the roundabout with Sainbury's supermarket and McDonalds on the left. Take the third exit at this roundabout. You will then come to another roundabout within a short distance. Take the second exit on this roundabout. You will then be on Cowane Street. This changes to Goosecroft Road and leads to the Railway Station on the left. Just in front of the station there is a small roundabout, turn right at this roundabout.

    From Railway Station –At the mini roundabout in front of the station proceed away from the station to the next mini roundabout, at Murray Place. Turn right here.

    Go along Murray Place for 500 yards, Murray Place changes name to Barnton Street.

    There is a pub called the Curly Coo Bar on the corner of Princes Street and Barnton Street.

    Princes Street is on the left hand side and number 14 is on the right hand side of the street.

    Public Transport Directions

    From the nearest information centre:- From the Tourist Information Centre at Dumbarton Road, turn left at Junction of Port Street. Go straight along Port Street, changes name to Murray Place and then changes name to Barnton Street. At the corner of Barnton Street and Princes Street there is a pub called the Albion Bar. Turn left here. Munro Guest House is on the right, 14 Princes Street.

    Getting there by railway:- Walk up the street opposite the Stirling station entrance (Station Road). Turn right onto Murray Place. Walk 300m along Murray Place, Murray Place changes name to Barnton Street. At the corner of Barnton Street and Princes Street there is a pub called The Albion Bar, turn left here. Munro Guest House is on the right, 14 Princes Street.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- From Edinburgh or Glasgow Airports, follow signs to Stirling, then follow signs for Railway Station.
