Netherkirkton Farm Holiday Cottages

Self Catering

Nether Kirkton Farm, Meikleour, Perthshire, PH2 6EG

Our two luxury contemporary holiday cottages, are arranged in a horse shoe shape around a shared courtyard. Each has a private garden, but proximity for groups hiring the cottages together. Dogs come free!

Our two holiday cottages are newly built to a very high standard, and have modern, luxury interiors with wooden floors in the main living areas, modern bathrooms and contemporary décor. The upper rooms are built into the eaves and have Velux roof windows. Heating is provided by modern oil-fired combi-boilers which also produce a constant supply of hot water on demand.

The cottages are arranged in around a central courtyard, but each has a private garden. There is ample parking for up to 3 cars per cottage. The access road has a hard surface and provides easy access for all types of vehicles. The owners, Ailene and Stewart live nearby. They are always close by if you need any advice, help or have a maintenance problem, but far enough away for you to make the place feel your own.

We believe that your holiday should be special and individual, and we want you to relax as soon as you arrive. We are in the best location, no matter what time of year. In winter, pull out your ski boots for an exhilarating day on the pistes, stroll through the bluebell woods in spring, enjoy barbecues in your private garden on long summer nights or go leaf kicking in autumn in the nearby forests.

Nether Kirkton Farm is surrounded by stunning scenery and offers an abundant rural environment to explore, with woodland, protected wetlands and rolling fields a short walk from your door. Watch the local wildlife passing by from your window - deer, rabbits, birds of prey all come visiting of a daily basis. The grounds feature a hill that we are trying to decide whether to plant with trees or wild flowers. Come and join the debate!

    Road Directions

    From the South

Follow signs towards Perth, and, skirting the West side of the city join the A9 North towards Inverness at Inveralmond Roundabout. From here you are about half an hour away.

After only a couple of miles exit onto the B8063, and take the road towards Luncarty and Stanley on the B9099.

Follow this road through the Perthshire countryside for nearly 8 miles, passing through the villages of Stanley, Murthly and on to Caputh.

In Caputh, turn right, taking the A984 towards Blairgowrie.

After 2.7 miles take the left hand turn signposted to Lethendy and Blairgowrie along a single track road, the B947.

Nether Kirkton Farm is 300 yards along the road on the left hand side, before you reach the sharp bend, and the cluster of houses and buildings at Kirkton of Lethendy. Look out for the distinctive sign on the gatepost with the tractor on the top.

NB: If you are in the centre or East side of Perth, you can take an alternative route that takes around the same time as the journey above. Simply follow signs over the river towards Scone Palace on the A93, signposted toward Blairgowrie, and follow this road for nearly 10 miles past the fruit farms until you reach the village of Meikleour.

Turn left here onto the A984; pass through the village, bearing right after half a mile to stay on this road.

After 2.4 miles, turn right onto the B947 signposted to Lethendy, as above, and look out for Nether Kirkton Farm on the left hand side after 300 yards.

    From the North

If you are heading South down the A9 from Inverness, just before reaching Perth, take the exit onto the B8063, and take the road towards Luncarty and Stanley on the B9099.

Follow this road through the Perthshire countryside for nearly 8 miles, passing through the villages of Stanley, Ardoch and on to Caputh.

In Caputh, turn right, taking the A984 towards Blairgowrie.

After 2.7 miles take the left hand turn signposted to Lethendy and Blairgowrie along a single track road, the B947.

Then follow the directions as above.
