Nisbet Old Schoolhouse

Nisbet Old Schoolhouse is situated amidst the stunning countryside of the Mid-Teviot Valley. It stands in the small village of Nisbet located just off the A68 approximately 3 miles north east of Jedburgh.

The Schoolhouse can also be let together with 6 rods on the Monteviot Beat, a tributary of the River Tweed. Whilst offering a relaxing and comfortable stay within this peaceful village, it is within easy reach of surrounding Borders towns and only a 1 hour drive from Edinburgh. The Schoolhouse sleeps up to 6 people and comprises as follows:

Ground Floor
Lounge with wood-burning stove and TV/DVD
Kitchen with fitted units, electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge
Dining/Rod Room with open fire, TV, chest-freezer, sink, washing machine and large dining table
Bedroom with two single beds and wash-hand basin
Shower Room with walk-in shower, WC and wash-hand basin

First Floor
Bedroom with two single beds and wash-hand basin
Bedroom with double bed, single bed and wash-hand basin
Bathroom including shower attachment

•Bed linen and towels are provided
•All electricity is included in the rate along with coal and logs for the fires
•A cot and high chair are available on request

Things to do
The historic town of Jedburgh is only a short distance away and offers many attractions including the Abbey, Castle Jail and Mary Queen of Scots House to name a few. It also has a selection of pubs/restaurants/shops to enjoy. Activities such as golf, cycling or horse riding can be arranged locally with country/riverside walks in Nisbet itself. Fishing permits for the Monteviot Beat can be booked via the office. Harestanes Visitors Centre, Monteviot House and Gardens and Penielheugh Monument are all within a mile of Nisbet.
