DIRECTIONS FROM LERWICK Take A970 north at Voe take A968 to Toft ferry terminal ( 50 mins drive). Ferries cross from Toft to Ulsta on the island of Yell (crossing 20mins). From Ulsta continue to Gutcher on the A968 ( time 30 mins). Take the ferry from Gutcher to Belmont on Unst (10 mins).
Continue from Belmont on A968. After 3 miles turn left to Westing. Continue along this road as far as it goes. It terminates at the east end of Westing beach.

North Booth is situated at the west end of the beach. Car parking is provided at the east end of the beach as access is via a shingly track although most people take cars across the track to the cottage.

From the nearest information centre:- The nearest Tourist Information Centre in Lerwick, on Shetland mainland. Travelling from the centre is north on the A970 to Toft ferry terminal. After crossing to Yell, you continue on the A968 from Ulsta to Gutcher where you cross Bluemull Sound to Belmont on Unst. North Booth is approximately five miles North-West from Belmont.
Getting there by railway:- No railway network within Shetland. Nearest mainland Scotland. Railway Stations are Aberdeen, Inverness and Thurso.
Getting there by aeroplane:- From Aberdeen or Inverness fly direct to Sumburgh, Self-drive cars are available at Sumburgh. There are regular buses from the airport to Lerwick and onward to Unst. Taxis can be arranged.
Getting there by ferry:- From Aberdeen, an overnight ferry sails daily to Lerwick on Shetland mainland.On 3 nights per week the ferryto and from Shetland goes via Orkney. Unst is connected to the mainland with frequent car ferries which sail from the adjoining Island of Yell, on a daily basis. A timetable is available on request, North Booth is 5 miles from Belmont the ferry terminal on Unst.
