From this peaceful setting, visitors can enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding area. There is an abundance of wildlife, flora and fauna right on the doorstep so any walk will be rewarded by the amazing sights and sounds of the islands.
Nortower Lodges offer luxury accommodation on a working Shetland croft. The two newly built lodges, Boitan and Holsas, are located in the beautiful coastal area of Aithsetter, on the South Mainland of Shetland.
Nortower Lodges would like to make this holiday extra special by introducing some aspects of traditional Shetland crofting life.
We rear our own animals including sheep and cattle. We provide free range eggs and grow a variety of fruit and vegetables, all of which are available for our guests to sample. A complementary hamper of our fresh, locally grown produce is gifted to guests on arrival (contents will vary depending on what is in season) and will be available for purchase thereafter.
We welcome guests into our home as we demonstrate the traditional craft of Fair Isle knitting and give them the chance to taste the renowned Shetland Bannock fresh from the oven.
A holiday on a working croft is sure to be a great experience!
Located on a working croft, two charming self-catering holiday lodges provide not only first-class accommodation but also the opportunity to experience life on a Shetland croft. From eating delicious homemade bannocks to Fair Isle knitting, we will give you a true Shetland welcome and a real taste of traditional island life. We are sure you will find Nortower the perfect choice for a quiet relaxing holiday
