These luxurious self-catering holiday cottages are nestled in the heart of the beautiful National Trust for Scotland's Threave Estate and surrounded by fantastic countryside.
Set in pleasant farming countryside, a nature trail runs at the side of the property which takes you to one of Scotland's most romantic castles, Threave Castle and stunning Threave Gardens. Just a few miles from the Solway Firth, there are rugged coastlines, dramatic cliff-top walks and wonderful remote beaches to discover. A hillwalker's paradise, the scenery and hills around nearby Castle Douglas are breathtaking, with the cottages situated in the middle of some of Scotland's most impressive forests - Mabie, Ae and Dalbeattie - as well as the famous Galloway Forest Park. Dumfries is also close-by where you can explore and learn more about the Scotland's national bard, Robert Burns, and his life in the region.
