Sleeping six, this delightful 4-star stone cottage is superbly decorated and furnished to a high level of comfort. The bright and airy open plan kitchen is equipped with all the essentials you need for a stress-free self-catering beak, while the sleek living and dining area provides a TV and wood burning stove. There is also a selection of games, books, videos for the whole family to enjoy and if you fancy a night out, there is also an affordable babysitting service available. Cots and high chairs are supplied free of charge.
The master bedroom has a comfortable king-size bed, while there is a second king and twin room, both with en suite shower rooms. The cottages main bathroom has a huge bath - perfect for relaxing soaks after adventurous days out. There are also underfloor heating, sun tunnels, energy- saving appliances and environmentally friendly features that don't compromise your comfort throughout the cottage. Price includes towels, linen and electricity. There's a charge for wood used, payable on departure.
The pretty courtyard garden with its lovely raised pond, colourful flower beds and seating area is the ideal place to unwind with a cold drink or a spot of al fresco dining. Children will love the playhouse and slide and the fact there's a gate blocking the main road will give you the peace of mind. Under development in 2012 is more playspace in an adjacent field, also the property of the owners.
The cottage is ideally located between Wigtown and Whithorn, close to plenty of beaches, walking and quiet roads for cycling. Climb the nearby Iron Age Hill Fort to enjoy stunning views of the Galloway Hills and across the Wigtown Estuary. Closeby, you can also take on the challenge of the 7stanes cycling circuit at Kirroughtree Forestry, watch osprey chicklings hatch and then browse the many bookshops in Scotland's Book Town, Wigtown.
