Overview
The building was converted to a hotel in 1935 when it was bought by the present owners grandparents.Arran is beautiful - seals bask on the rocks beneath Brodick Castle while red deer roam the heather -clad bens and glens which provide a real challenge to the serious climber or a leisurely walk for the rambler or naturalist. Ridge walking is deservedly very popular, nor least because of the spectacular views which the mountains and burns enshrine. Ormidale is centrally situated on the island and is convenient for such mountain access. Pony trekking, putting, swimming, tennis, bowling and golf (Arran has 7 courses) are other activities easily accessible from the Ormidale. The pub attracts all ages to the regular weekend discos and mid week quiz nights.
