2 cottages and large lodge set in their own gardens on Orroland Estate, a place full of wonders to explore. A wild flower meadow, private loch, walks to the sea shore and quirky landscaping features provide an enchanting, central location.
Found in the picturesque Galloway hills of South-West Scotland, Orroland Cottages are set in the peaceful grounds of Orroland Estate which rolls from the hills all the way down to the shore. Housing a loch, wildflower meadow, sculptured gardens, towering woodlands and unspoilt grassy fields; Orroland has all the best of its surrounding beauty in one place. During a stay here, it will feel like you are only sharing the views with the local wildlife and most of the time, you are.
Cutlar’s Lodge has 3 bedrooms, accommodating 6 people in a king and two twin rooms, within its unique and comfortable walls. An open fire gives life to the sitting room with a kitchen modern yet in keeping with the traditional feel of the cottage. From the sun porch you’ll be able to relax and enjoy views out over the Solway Firth to the Lake District and Isle of Man. Do you have children? A games room with table tennis and pool table, on top of the enchanting grounds, await them. A fully enclosed garden provides safe freedom for dogs and children.
Abbotsway Cottage sleeps up to 7 in a king room, single room and a family room sleeping four (twin beds and bunks). The spacious single-storey cottage is traditionally stone built and promotes privacy with its own fully enclosed courtyard and a garden complete with sturdy teak furniture and a BBQ. Inside you’ll find a comfortable sitting room with a wood burning stove (logs provided) that looks out on the local wildlife. The well-fitted open kitchen is ideal for those who enjoy cooking together and includes a dishwasher. A blissful 20-minute walk away, or drive most of the way if you wish, is the rocky seashore with expansive waters warmed by the Gulf Stream.

Orroland Lodge comfortably sleeps 14 guests in 5 twin bedrooms and 2 double bedrooms with ensuites (one can be adapted into a sixth twin room). A well equipped kitchen awaits its guests with an aga cooker, an electric one, 2 dishwashers and a breakfast table. The dining room has plenty of space with configurable tables that can seat up to 30 and the large drawing room has an atmospheric open fire and doors leading onto the terrace overlooking the sea. There are 3 bathrooms and 3 shower rooms in the property. With the amount of space, privacy and freedom that Orroland Lodge has to offer; it is an ideal location for groups of friends, wedding receptions, family reunions and parties. When combined with the two cottages you can accommodate 27 guests at Orroland.
