    An excellent loch view location in a privately owned lodge on the popular Drimsynie Estate Holiday Village offering a choice of all year round dining and leisure facilities.

    The Drimsynie Estate Holiday Village sits at the head of Loch Goil within the Loch Lomond National Park. The setting alone makes it pretty special. Add in the first class all-weather leisure facilities, dining and entertainment, then this is a self-catering holiday that offers so much more.

    Property Details

    A privately owned A-frame 2 bedroom lodge in an elevated position with views down LochGoil. Just minutes walk to the leisure center.

    The Drimsynie Estate sits at the head of the loch and offers an excellent range of facilities for activities, dining and entertainment. If you are looking for a base from which to relax and unwind, you have the option to do as little, or as much, as you wish. There is something for everyone when you choose to stay at Drimsynie. One thing is for sure, you will never tire of the ever changing views that come with such a great setting.

    You access the lodge via the spacious balcony decking area. Plenty of space to sit out and socialise, have a BBQ or to relax and take in the view.

    From the entrance hall you lead into the open plan lounge and dining area. With floor to ceiling glass in the lounge looking over the balcony the lounge makes the most of its position. There is a wall mounted TV and DVD player with selected satellite channels. Off the dining area is a fully equipped kitchen with microwave. The ground floor also has a shower & WC.

    Bedroom 1 has a double bed, TV, views over the loch and an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. Bedroom 2 has twin beds. For extra guests there is a double sofa bed in the lounge area so the property can sleep up to 6 guests.

    Beds are made up for your arrival. Please bring your own towels and dish towels.

    Short breaks are welcome all year round. Weekly stays start on a Saturday, 3 night weekends from Friday and 4 night mid week breaks start on a Monday.

    FREE WiFi connection in the public areas of the nearby Rob Roy Lounge & Coffee Shop at the leisure centre. Surf while enjoying a coffee or snack while you are using the facility.

    If you are a family, work, or social group and need multiple lodges you can consider Osprey 18 as well as it's two nearest neighbours, 2 bedroom Osprey 17 and the 3 bedroom Ptarmigan Lodge 10.

    Leisure options in and around Lochgoilhead

    There is no doubt that the choice of things available in the area is a major attraction. Take to the water, head off on one of the marked walking trails, hire a bike, book some adventure at the Lochgoilhead Centre or head to the all year Leisure Centre which has an excellent choice of activities.

    Outdoors - Argyll Voyageur Canoes - escorted trips on Loch Goil in a 10 seater canoe. Ideal for all the family. Hire a boat from Loch Goil Cruisers or D&M Auto Marine. Head off to explore the hills on one of the marked walking trails or hire a bike. All information detailed in the Destination Guide for Lochgoilhead. 

    The Drimsynie Estate Leisure Centre

    The Drimsynie Leisure Centre is 1 mile from the village and offers: 25m indoor Swimming Pool, Sauna, Steam Room, Jacuzzi, Gym • Crazy Golf • Indoor Bowls • Snooker • 9-hole loch side Golf Course • Snooker • Badminton • Table Tennis • Children's Indoor Play Area. From Spring 2014 activities are being added - information to follow. Guests staying on the Estate have access to a number of leisure passes.

    The Lochgoilhead Centre

    If it's adventure you are looking for The Lochgoilhead Centre is in the village. Subject to availability visitors are welcome to join in with other groups.     In keeping with the holiday park policy, the online prices are based on the following criteria:
    Week arrivals: Friday or Monday
    Weekend: Friday for 3 nights
    Midweek: Monday for 4 nights 
    The private lodges can accept an any day arrival but the price will vary depending on the day. We will come back to you with the latest price.
    The holiday park operate a dynamic pricing policy which means rates change with no notice. We will always confirm the best rate available at the time of booking which is why the online request is provisional. 
    The park adds an energy charge £5 per day May to October and £7.50 per day November to April to the accommodation cost.

    Road Directions

    Lochgoilhead is situated just over an hours drive from Glasgow Airport. It is a small rural village, situated at the head of a sea loch (tidal lake) in stunning fjord like setting.

From Glasgow M8 motorway head past airport and follow signs for the Erskine Bridge. Over the Erskine Bridge follow the A82 for Loch Lomond.
Drive alongside Loch Lomond on the A82 until Tarbet (Note - There are several Tarbets in Scotland!) At Tarbet keep left onto the A83 passing through Arrochar.

Several miles after Arrochar you will start to climb a very significant hill. This is known as the 'Rest and be Thankful'. At the top of the hill there is a car park and viewpoint, and a small road signposted 'Lochgoilhead' .

Follow this road - (take care - single track!) for approximately 6 miles into the village.
