Park Cottage and Hill Cottage sit at the end of the Park Bernisdale crofting township road in very private, separate, scenic locations with neither cottage visible from the other. Park Bernisdale is 9 miles from Portree on the road towards Dunvegan and is a great base for visiting North and Central Skye, be it for an active or completely relaxing holiday. There is no passing traffic whatsoever.
Both cottages can take a maximum of 4 adults, (children 12 and over only at Hill Cottage), both have their own wifi hub and have all electricity, bed linen, towels and many other extras included in the price. 10-20% discount for a couple only for either cottage - please ask for a price. There are no extra costs whatsoever. Hill Cottage can be booked from any day of the week throughout the year subject to a 3 night minimum stay. Park Cottage is available for Saturday to Saturday weekly lets from April to October and from any day for the rest of the year, subject to a 3 night minimum stay. Park Cottage is graded 3 star by VisitScotland and is a very comfortable and homely traditional crofthouse going back many generations. It was my old family home and looks out over Loch Snizort in a southerly direction to the hills beyond.
Hill Cottage is graded 4 star by VisitScotland and is a new high quality build by local tradesmen to a traditional Skye design. It has oak finishings throughout and is extremely comfortable and well equipped, including free wi-fi. The hot water and adjustable underfloor heating are supplied by renewable energy from solar panels and an air source unit which is much more energy efficient than conventional heating systems and provide a much more even level of comfort throughout. In a very private, beautiful spot with outstanding scenery, the 2 bedroom cottage looks out over the mouth of Loch Snizort towards the Western Isles. Even when the weather is not so good, the light and colours are still fascinating. I ask for a £100 refundable housekeeping deposit with each booking of Hill Cottage which I return within 2-3 days of departure, given no issues.
