Getting there by railway:- Scotrail services from Edinburgh go direct to Aberdour every 30 mins during the day, hourly after 1900. Some services from Perth and Dundee stop at Aberdour, but during the day these are not frequent and travellers will have to change at Kirkaldy or Inverkeithing to pick up the local Aberdour service. Check your journey with the ontrain gaurd or Scotrail information.
From the railway station main entrance (over the bridge from the Edinburgh trains) go past the Royal Bank of Scotland and turn next left (50 meters) down Shore Road at the Forresters Arms. Peartree House is 200 metres down Shore Road from the Forresters Arms, and is the first house on the right past the park.
Getting there by air:- Nearest Airport: Edinburgh. If using a car, (25 mins) follow signs to Forth Road Bridge, then the A921 to Kirkaldy Aberdour is 10 mins (5 miles, 8 km) from M90 Junction 1. By bus, take the 747 service (every 20 mins, 30 mins after 1800) to Inverkeithing railway station (approx 20 mins) and then the train to Aberdour (see getting there by train). Taxis are available at Inverkeithing station (if needed) but not at Aberdour. Alternatively, take the No 7 or 7A bus from the station (seek help to find the bus stop) to Aberdour Railway Station and follow directions from there.
