Peebles Hydro is set within 30 acres in the stunning Scottish Borders, only 26 miles from Edinburgh, enjoyed by both young and old.
Overlooking the Scottish Borders market town of Peebles, just south of Edinburgh. Peebles Hydro is owned and operated by McMillan Hotels, this 4 star hotel with 132 bedrooms commands a magnificent view over the Cademuir Valley from its hilltop position. Peebles Hydro is an extremely popular hotel for both young and old with many guests returning year after year.
Business facilities at the hotel consist of 6 smart meeting rooms, plus the magnificent ballroom. Maximum capacity theatre style in the ballroom is 450 delegates. However we can also accommodate smaller numbers with ease. The hotel has many very loyal, long-standing conferences that all praise the facilities and the staff highly. The Hydro is also a stunning location for weddings.
Leisure facilities at the hotel at first class, including a substantial 20x10 metre indoor pool, steam room, sauna, spa bath and a relaxation area with sun loungers. Also within the leisure complex is a state of the art gym area offering all the latest in cardio vascular equipments. Indulge in a treatment in the Hydro Health & Beauty Salon (it is advisable to book before arrival), or treat yourself to a delicious lunch in Lazels Bistro.
For children we can offer a Kids Activity Club, open every day offering a wide range of activities e.g. face painting, treasure hunts etc. There is also a soft-play area, painting room and a TV room. Outside there is an adventure play area for the children and putting, pitch n putt, tennis courts and 30 acres of grounds to explore. The hotel is on the doorstep of the World Famous Glentress Forest where there are miles of specially laid tracks for mountain biking enthusiasts. Mountain bike hire can be arranged by the hotel or down at the Forest.
There are many places to explore in the Scottish Borders including Traquair House, Dawyck Botanic Gardens, Melrose Abbey, Floors Castle, loads of walking and cycling trails and all that Edinburgh has to offer.
