Plum Tree Cottage

Overview

Plum Tree is only 3 miles from Kelso, a lovely market town with good eateries and pleasant and unique shops. New all-weather tennis court. Plum Tree Cottage is very comfortably furnished with a sumptuous leather sofa in the sitting room beside the wood burning stove and log basket. (There is an abundance of logs just help your selves!). Adjacent is the long galley kitchen with a small dining table. It is well equipped with a dishwasher, electric cooker and microwave, fridge with freezer compartment.

Spiral stairs wind their way through the original beams to the bed room which is on a mezzanine floor which is very light with French windows and a small balcony. Lie in bed and enjoy the sun rising over the Eden Valley and enjoy huge starry skies from the balcony. The only thing to disturb you is our resident Barn Owl! There is a tawny owl too! The bath room is down stairs with a bath and over head shower. The bed is prepared and towels provided, sky TV and a new all weather tennis court.

During the Summer week bookings are preferred but short breaks are offered all year round and Plum Tree is a very popular escape in the winter for river walks and enjoying Borders history.

Plum Tree is on Cliftonhill which is an Organic farm producing oats and malting barley, lamb, eggs, and there are fruit and vegetables including asparagus in May, strawberries in June, black currants in July, potatoes in August and herbs galore.
