Overview

The cottage is in the heart of Stromness situated on one of the old piers, and is only a two minutes walk from the ferry terminal, pubs, restaurants, museum and bakery.
The cottage is also only minutes from the main harbour and the many dive charter boats that operate in Scapa Flow.

Prices start from £220. This small fisherman's cottage, a one up one down arrangement has been sympathetically refurbished and it still retains it's original character. The cottage is heated by a storage heater and halogen fires provide additional heat on cold winter days.

The toilet is on the ground floor just off the entrance hall whilst the upper floor bedroom has an ensuite shower room and a walk in wardrobe area with ample storage. In the downstairs galley kitchen area there is a washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, fridge and a small cooker.

The sitting and dining area has a TV with a two seater settee and dining table. The bedroom has views across to the light house on Graemsay and provides a great location for watching the boats coming in and out of the harbour.

For warmer days folding chairs are provided so you can sit outside and enjoy the view across to the lifeboat pier and the harbour which is only a few feet away at the end of the close. Portsmouth Point is available to rent all year round with lets normally running from Saturday to Saturday. The weekly rates include bed linen and towels.
