    Pucks Lodge is our attractive holiday lodge situated on the edge of the Argyll Forest in a beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands set between Holy Loch and pituresque Loch Eck. Our aim is to ensure you have all the  comforts for a truely enjoyable holiday. 
    Pucks Lodge: Pucks Lodge is one of only 18 privately owned lodges on a small development known as Lamont Lodges. Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty the lodge is ideal for relaxing,exploring the beautiful  Argyll countryside, enjoying wildlife, (deer,red squirrels and birds a plenty!)  For the more adventerous there are plenty of opportunities  from mountain biking, hill walking,stalking, fishing, and kayaking. If you prefer to browse art galleries and museums or  are in need of some retail therapy Glasgow with its many art galleries, shops,museums and restaurants is within easy distance.
     We enjoyed using our holiday lodge so much we decided to share the experience. The lodge has been furnished as our special  holiday retreat and as such it gives you a real home fom home experience , with all the creature comforts you need to enjoy your relaxing break .The accomodation consists of a  dining area with large dining table and adjoining kitchen so everyone can keep the cook company! It is equipped with all necessary comforts including a dishwasher.  A large seperate sitting room and the sleeping accommodation consist of  one double and two twin bedrooms all with own cosy throws and cushions providing comfortable sleeping for upto six. Bedlinen and towels are provided free of charge so you just need to pack your own personal items. The bathoom has an electric shower and a washer and tumble dryer are adjacent to the bathroom.
    : For the days when you prefer to stay indoors rather than venture out, as well as the usual  Television , DVD and Radio/CD player and Ipod docking station, we have provided a selection of magazines, CD's , Books, Jigsaws and Games  to help you
    enjoy your time. Even our four legged friends have their own special jar of treats !

    Road Directions

    From the north, travel south along the A815, through Strachur village and on in the direction of Dunoon. Once you leave the banks of Loch Eck the Benmore Botanical Gardens are situated on the right. Beyond the entrance to the gardens you will come upon a straight stretch of road. Once past this the lodges entrance is located on the left, before the Puck's Glen car park.

    Public Transport Directions

    By AIR:- By Hire Car from Glasgow Airport, join the M8 travelling away from the City Centre towards Gourock.  Travel two miles beyond Gourock and take the Western Ferry to Hunters Quay. Both ferrys will take you to Dunoon area, then follow directions by ferry

    By CAR:- From M8 travel west away from the City Centre towards Gourock.  Travel two miles beyond Gourock and take the Western Ferry to Hunters Quay. Both ferrys will take you to Dunoon area, then follow directions by ferry.  ALTERNATIVELY follow the A82 from Glasgow to Tarbet (Loch Lomond ) continuing onwards when sighnposted Campbeltown.  Once through Arrochar and across the Arrochar Alps/Rest and Be Thankful pass, take a left turn signed Dunoon (A815).  Follow road until Benmore Botanical Gardens is reached on Right.  After 1/2 mile watch for signposting to 'Lamont Lodges' on left.

    Getting there by ferry:- From either Dunoon (foot passenger only) or Western Ferry Pier (Car and passenger): turn right and follow the coast road North for 3 miles until you reach the T-junction with the main road in the village of Sandbank. Turn right, following the main road for 3 miles. You will see the forested hills of the Argyll Forest Park in the distance. Continue along the road. As you enter the Park, Puck's Glen is signed on the right. We are within the small development of log cabins beyond the entrance to Puck's Glen.
