Once the ferry reaches Raasay, from the slip way turn left and left again at the red telephone boxes at Inverarish. We are on the right just past the church.
Set in our own grounds, Borodale House has fantastic views of the Sound of Raasay and the Cuillin Hills of Skye and is surrounded by forest.
From the hotel, there are many accessible walks for beginners to the more advanced on the coast or in the forests.

Families, Individuals, and groups are all welcome at Raasay House Hotel & Activities as are well behaved pets. Bus groups are also welcome, vprior booking advisable.
FOOD:
We understand how important food is to your Raasay experience, and we work hard to make sure it's one of the reasons you'll visit us again and again.
Our approach is simple. We source the best local, seasonal ingredients, and we prepare them in a delicious, authentic, wholesome, uncomplicated way all at a reasonable price.
Of course we cater for all special dietary needs.
We also understand how to satisfy younger palates, especially after a hard day's abseiling. For them the emphasis is on home cooked, nutritious and filling.
Unfortunately due to the change over in management, the hotels licence is for the moment unavailable. During this time we are operating a 'Bring Your Own' policy for residents and guests of the restaurant and cafe. Please don't hesitate to contact us for more information.
ACTIVITIES:
Whether you're looking for adventure and high octane excitement or the chance to learn a new skill, meet new people and build confidence, Raasay House will exceed your expectations.
We cater for all ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced, under-8s to over-70s, from teenage daredevils to their more cautious mums. You can sign up for one half-day session or stay with us on a week's break with all activities included. We can tailor an activities programme to suit your needs, abilities and budget.

ACCOMMODATION:
Originally built in the 1870s as the Estate Manager's house, it passed through various owners before becoming a hotel in 1981.
All but two of the twelve comfortable en-suite bedrooms have spectacular views across the sound of Raasay to the Cuillin on Skye. The cafe and restaurant, lounge and garden are all open to non-residents and all offer dramatic sea views. We can welcome up to 24 guests in the hotel. For larger groups we can arrange extra accommodation elsewhere on the island.
And whether you're after an informal, relaxing base from which to explore Raasay or an exciting programme of activities, you'll still be able to enjoy the trademark service and hospitality that has always been such an important part of the Raasay experience
WILDLIFE:
Raasay is abundant with wildlife. From sea and golden eagles, herons and cormorants, minke whales, basking sharks, dolphins & porpoises, to deer, voles, otters and seals. Some are unique to Raasay, whilst some use Raasay as a stopover on their migration routes.
Our staff are able to point you to the best areas for wild life viewing, whether by sea or land!
