Located in the pretty village of Springholm, this homely B&B offers you a quieter alternative to the bustling Food Town of Castle Douglas but is still close enough for exploring the town and its surrounding attractions.
A warm welcome awaits you at Rangemhor, which is a modern bungalow set in attractive gardens, and offering large and comfortably furnished bedrooms with en suite facilities. A delicious breakfast is served daily, and if required and requested in advance, it can be served at a time to suit you.
The Food Town of Castle Douglas, with all its attractions and independent shops, are only a few minutes' drive away. Once there, explore Broughton House and Garden, Cardoness Castle, Dalbeattie Museum and many more fascinating attractions, before enjoying lunch or dinner in the town's many established cafes, pubs and restaurants.
If you love being active, then the nearby pretty coastal village of Kippford offers excellent sailing, walking, cycling and golf. For wonderful scenery and a chance sighting of the region's wealth of wildlife, head to Murray's Monument, Otter's Pool on the Raider's Road, or Mersehead RSPB Sanctuary, where you will find a lovely beach. On a sunny day, why not pack up a picnic of tasty, locally sourced produce, and take it with you?
Don't miss the chance to visit the beautiful Threave Gardens, best known for its magnificent display of nearly 200 different varieties of springtime daffodils, which is also located close-by.
