    Rumhor is a beautiful 4 Star Victorian House with stunning views in an incredible lochside location.  It has five bedrooms and two lounges, one a huge family room with lots of comfortable seating, large TV & large pool table plus a drawing room with comfortable sofas, wood burner & stunning views. An elegant dining room with wood burner is perfect for formal or informal meals. Outside there is a large decked area and lochside gardens.     Located within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and the Argyll Forest Park this is an area renowned for its natural beauty, wildlife and great walks.  Within the glen you will find golf, an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, adventure activities, wildlife canoe excursions and boat and fishing rod hire.  Rhumhor is under four miles from the nearest village shop and the leisure estate of Drimsynie which has two restaurants and a bar. A short walk from Drimsynie is the charming village of Lochgoilhead where you will find a village post office /local store, medical center, pubs and places to eat.

    Rhumhor Holiday Lodge,  built in the 1890's as a grand holiday home, has spacious rooms that offer stunning views of the Loch and the Argyll mountains.

    Road Directions

    From Glasgow, take the A82 following the side of Loch Lomond, to Tarbet. Then follow the A83, through Arrochar to the 'rest and be thankful'. Turn left toward Lochgoilhead and follow the road down to a give way sign. Turn left and follow the road for several miles until you come to a junction just before a bridge. Turn right here following signs for Carrick Castle. Follow the road for about 5 miles until you reach the village of Carrick Castle. Rhumhor is situated approximately 1/2 a mile into the village. The drive entrance is on the right immediately after the flat bridge going over Carrick Burn.
