Rivergarth is beautifully situated and enjoys an elevated position with uninterrupted views across the River Dee and the countryside beyond providing an ideal base to explore the local area as well as the beautiful surroundings of Dumfries and Galloway. Alan and Judi established Rivergarth as a B and B in March 2008 with Alan bringing over 35 years experience as a chef and Judi 30 years in customer service.
RIVERGARTH BED and BREAKFAST, KIRKCUDBRIGHT
All the rooms are on the ground floor and all the bedrooms are modern and decorated to a very high standard comprising of two double rooms with en-suite shower rooms and a twin room with private bathroom facilities. They all come with central heating, remote control TV's, free wifi access for laptop users, a good range of toiletries and hairdryers on request.
Room one - large double with en-suite shower room.
A spacious and comfortable room with a double bed and en-suite shower room together with a sofa, TV with built in CD/DVD player and a selection of DVD's available. Tea and coffee making facilities and bathrobes are provided for guest using this room. The sofa converts to a bed if a family room is required. This room is at the side of the house where guests can enjoy the view across the river.
Room two - double with en-suite shower room.
A good size comfortable room with a double bed and en-suite shower room together with a TV plus, tea and coffee making facilities. This room is at the rear of the house and overlooks the garden.
Room three - twin with private bathroom.
This comfortable room has twin beds with a TV plus tea and coffee making facilities. This room is at the front of the house and has the benefit of an uninterrupted view across the river as well as the private bathroom facilities which include a bath and shower. Bath robes are provided in this room.
Dining/sitting room.
There is a large and open plan dining/sitting room, with windows to the front and side allowing the light to stream in. Here guests can relax and enjoy the glorious views while sitting down to a hearty breakfast. There are separate dining tables and a telescope has been provided for those wanting a closer view of the estuary.
Breakfast is prepared for you by Alan who uses his many years experience as a chef to provide an extensive choice for breakfast. He has sourced the best produce so guests can enjoy breakfast watching the glorious views across the River Dee.
Packed lunches can be provided on request for a small fee.
If you wish to sit and socialise then you don't have far to walk to the guest lounge area which is well provided for with a TV and CD/DVD player; books, magazines and a selection of board games for you to enjoy.
Just across the road from Rivergarth is the start of some lovely riverside walks: ideal for that early morning walk to help prepare your appetite for your Scottish breakfast.
