    Sufficiently distant from any sizeable town or village to feel rural and remote yet close enough ( a scenic 8 mile drive from Lochinver) to take advantage of the local shops, restaurants and other amenities as required

    The cottage, a former croft house is situated just a few minutes walk from the spectacular sandy beach in Clashnessie Bay and the stunning waterfall from which the hamlet derives its name; Clais An Easaidh - literally meaning trench or bowl of the waterfall.

    The accommodation which sleeps a maximum of four people comprises:

    Lounge with satellite TV, Video, DVD player and Hi-Fi
    Kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, fridge and washing machine
    Porch with freezer
    Double bedroom
    Twin Bedroom
    Bathroom with WC, basin and electric shower over the bath
    Heating is by storage heaters and a multifuel stove in the lounge.
    Linen and towels are provided.
    Electricity charged at cost by meter reading at end of stay.

    Road Directions

    From Inverness, take the A9 northwards, crossing the Kessock Bridge and continuing on the dual carriageway to the Tore roundabout.
    Take the second exit onto the A835. Continue to the next roundabout and again take the second left (A835). Continue through to Ullapool and beyond to Ledmore Junction turning left onto the A837 in the direction of Lochinver.
    Shortly before reaching Lochinver village, turn right onto the B869. Continue as for directions from Tourist Information Centre.

    Public Transport Directions

    From the nearest information centre:- Drive through the village heading north on the A837 and at the top of the hill turn left onto the B869, Kylesku Coastal Route also sign-posted, Clachtoll, Stoer, Drumbeg etc. Continue into Clashnessie (approx 7.5 miles) and the drive for Riverside is on the right immediately after the red telephone kiosk.

    Getting there by railway:- The nearest railway station is at Lairg, approximately 52 miles away. A connection to Lochinver and then on to Clashnessie can be made by using the Royal Mail post bus. See Royal Mail website for details.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- From Inverness, Dalcross Airport to Inverness. Then directions as per "By Car".
