The gardens are a real delight. Bounded by high fencing and walls, the pretty patio offers a high degree of seclusion. It is attractively laid out with a variety of shrubs, a picnic table and BBQ. The cottage is south facing, making the most of the sunny weather throughout the day.
Whilst located just 3 miles from the centre of the historic and vibrant centre of Aberdeen it is situated in a quiet backwater, with superb woodland and riverside walks direct from the property. The beautiful river Don, renowned for its salmon fishing, has miles of lovely walks along its banks. Deer roam freely through the woods and fields close by and a variety of wildlife can be seen at the nearby nature reserve.
Walking, cycling, fishing, golf and riding are enjoyed locally and the local beach offers excellent surfing as well as other water-sports.
There is an abundance of historical sites and places of interest throughout this region, including the renowned Castle and Distillery trails. Aberdeen is just 10 minutes drive away (buses and taxis are also readily available). The Granite City offers superb shopping facilities, a wonderful selection of restaurants, bars and cafes, as well as theatres, cinemas, ice-skating, bowling and many interesting and unusual exhibitions.
The beach leisure facilities are popular with visitors of all ages.
