Robertson Arms Hotel

Overview

The Henderson family took over the Robertson Arms hotel in 2005.
They have lovingly renovated throughout.
The hotel was originally three cottages built in 1823 and still retains many original features.
The en-suite bedrooms are of an extremely high standard with all the facilities you would expect to ensure a very comfortable stay.
We offer casual dining in our Bistro where a wood burning stove creates a cosy area to relax and unwind with an after dinner coffee or glass of wine.
For a more formal eating experience, try our fine dining candlelight J R R's Restaurant, where head chef Ryan and his team have created a feast of dishes to delight. Then relax in the snug with a malt whisky from our well stocked cocktail lounge bar.

The hotel is situated just a hundred metres from the first tee of Carnwath Golf course and Kames Golf course is only a few minutes away by car, thus making us an ideal stop over for the keen golfer.
A short drive away and well worth a visit is the award winning visitor's centre at New Lanark World Heritage site including the Falls of Clyde and wild life nature walk. The town of Lanark has many interesting historical connections to William 'Braveheart' Wallace. Or take a trip to Rosslyn Chapel on the Da Vinci trail.
For the shopaholics the designer outlet at the Almond Vale centre, Livingston is 25mins away.
The capital city of Edinburgh is only 40mins by car with plenty park and ride options, or take the train from Carstairs station right to the centre of this historic city.

Whether your visit is business or pleasure you are sure of an enjoyable and memorable stay.
