Roskhill Barn
Built as an agricultural byre in the late 19th century, this stone-walled barn is beautifully located in its own attractive gardens set well back from the main A863 just three miles south of Dunvegan on the north-west coast of Skye.
Skilfully converted in the 1960s and recently upgraded, the Barn now comprises two lovely apartments. The ground floor apartment is occupied by the owner, while the upstairs apartment is available for bed and breakfast, serviced self catering, or fully self catering on daily or weekly terms.
There is a wealth of beautiful coastal scenery within minutes' walk of the front door and the Barn is well placed for exploration of both the west and north coasts of the island. The village of Dunvegan - famed for its castle of the same name - also offers a range of shops, pubs and a post office.
Taigh Bàrr - the "top house"
Taigh Bàrr is accessed by an outside staircase with feature porch, into an entrance foyer opening into a large living area. There is a modern fully fitted galley-style kitchen at one end and a cosy lounge/diner at the other. The modern bathroom has an over-bath electric shower and there are two comfortable bedrooms - a twin and a double. All the rooms have coombed ceilings and lovely open views across to stunning coastal scenery and MacLeods Tables.
The apartment is fully double glazed, and heated throughout by electric heaters.
A gravelled area to either side of the Barn provides adequate parking space and all guests are welcome to use the garden and its garden furniture.
Open all year. Dogs welcome.
