Overview

Previously a boutique hotel, Rowallan Guest House has been lovingly restored with your comfort in mind. Set in an acre of mature garden, the guest house has two elegant guest lounges, a bright and spacious conservatory which is perfect for relaxing and dining, plus a fully stocked bar and a snooker room with a 6 ft table.

Each of the six spacious en suite bedrooms is located on the first floor. All of the rooms are beautifully decorated with comfortable beds, homely furnishings, hospitality trays and a flat screen colour TV as well as many other little extras to make your stay here a special one.

Breakfast at Rowallan Guest House is fantastic. Enjoy either a full Scottish breakfast with all the trimmings, or something a little lighter such as delicious fresh fruit and cereal, if you prefer. Packed lunches can also be provided.

The guesthouse is just a short walk away from Newton Stewart town centre and all of the attractions. Nearby, enjoy the Merrick Leisure Centre, with indoor heated swimming pool, the Newton Stewart Museum, library, bowling green and tennis club. If you fancy exploring the fairways, Newton Stewart Golf Course is a challenging 18-hole parkland course set in magnificent scenery.

This is a great choice for exploring the Galloway Hills, trying your hand at watersports on Loch Ken, birdwatching at RSPB Mersehead and riding the world-class 7stanes mountain biking trails. At night, it is also one of the best spots in the UK for stargazing with the naked eye as it's the first Dark Sky Park in the UK and one of only two in Europe.
