Rowan Cottage is a traditional Highland Cottage, set in the picturesque village of Lewiston, near Drumnadrochit and is just a short distance from magnificent Loch Ness and surrounded by beautiful scenery.
Originally a two roomed 'But and Ben' built in the mid-nineteenth century, Rowan Cottage has been extended to provide a high standard of accommodation. Decorated in neutral colours, every effort has been made to provide our guests with every comfort during their stay.
There are two en-suite rooms, one with a 6ft Super King Size bed and the other is a Twin bedded room (singles). Each room has quality furniture and bedding to ensure you have a good night's sleep, every night.
From your own private entrance, both en-suite rooms have the following: En-suite shower room, Full Sky TV/DVD, Clock/Radio Alarm with ipod docking, Hairdryer, Hospitality Tray, Bathrobes, Welcome Drink, Fresh Fruit and Flowers, bottled water, WiFi Internet access for your own Laptop, small selection of books, Mini fridge for fresh milk. There is also a small selection of DVD's for you to view in the Breakfast Room.
Both rooms have their own private outdoor area to relax in. The ground floor bedroom has access to a private courtyard, whilst the 1st floor bedroom has its own private decking accessed through its French doors. Both areas have tables and chairs where you can sit and plan your day using our selection of books and maps. Or just sit, relax and chat about the day's activities over a glass of wine or a wee dram.
A delicious and varied menu using fresh local produce with homemade bread and preserves awaits you in our sunny breakfast room. Packed lunches are available by prior arrangement only.
There are several picturesque walks in and around Drumnadrochit and Lewiston, including a lovely woodland walk to Loch Ness shore and to Divach Falls.
Beautiful Glen Affric, Cromarty and Historic Culloden Battlefield are just some of the places that can be enjoyed within easy reach of Rowan Cottage.
Unfortunately we cannot accept children under the age of 16 years or pets. We are strictly a non-smoking establishment.
