Walkers love the level roads towards Benderloch (1mile) and Tralee Bay, whereas those wishing more exertion can climb Ben Lora via the forestry path.
There are many fishing spots including Loch Etive, where you can fish for spurdog and mackeral.
Cruises on Loch Etive can be had at nearby Taynuilt.
In the garage you will find bicycles for your use if you feel energetic! Cycle to Glen Shalloch along the lochside, perhaps stopping at Archattan Priory to admire the 13th century ruins and lovely gardens.
In wet weather, a tour inside Ben Cruachan, "The Hollow Mountain" is well worth a visit.
Restaurants and shops are within two miles, although Oban, the Seafood Capital of the Highlands, is only 7 miles distant, and has many excellent places to eat.
Rowan Cottage is a detached, centrally heated cottage all on the level set in spacious gardens, and has ample off-road parking.
With the conservatory opening onto a large paved patio area, you can enjoy the peaceful setting as you dine al fresco. There is an outside rotary drier and a tap for car washing.
Walkers can leave damp outerwear in the garage to dry overnight. A barbeque is also found here, as long as it is cleaned out later!
Rowan Cottage has three bedrooms all with fitted wardrobe storage - two double bedrooms (one en-suite) and one twin room, lounge, dining room, family bathroom, fully fitted kitchen, conservatory, garage and garden.
The large lounge with multi-fuel burning stove is well-equipped with TV, DVD, stereo. There is a selection of media to choose from, as well as books and games.
The dining room seats six comfortably and is adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge-freezer, tumble drier, washing machine, and an extensive batterie de cuisine suitable for the chef!
The large family bathroom boasts bath, power shower, basin, WC and bidet, whilst the en-suite has WC, basin and power shower, both with extractor fans.
A travel cot and high chair are available. Towels, bedlinen, energy, and fuel a fuel starter pack is included in the price.
