Rowan Glen is a modern house in 6 acres of secluded grounds, available for a limited number of weeks in the summer when the owners are away. Visible from the kitchen window are the two large ponds, one with boathouse and rowing dinghy. The grounds are mostly natural woodland, forming the backdrop to Martin and Carol Roff's creation. There is a full size croquet court, hedge labyrinth, lookalike gypsy caravan, shepherds hut, stone and timber summer house, tree house, zip wire and a number of surprises.
The house sleeps up to 7, in 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. Others might care to use the gypsy caravan, which has 2 adequate bunks.
The large kitchen is fully equipped for a family, with adjacent dining room. The sitting room is spacious with an open fire. There is a master bedroom with kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom, a second double bedroom and third bedroom with twin beds and an Ercol Studio Couch, forming an adequate additional bed. There is a family bathroom and utility room.
The house is in a quiet location on the 'Black Isle', 20 minutes north of Inverness and 10 minutes from Dingwall and 15 minutes to the beach at Rosemarkie. It is well placed for visits to all parts of the Highlands, if you can tear yourselves away from the grounds!
