Rowanbank is a white painted old Arran cottage, and although one end of this long house is close to the country road the house has fine countryside views. There are 2 open fires and it is only a 4 minute walk to the sea. Well behaved dogs are welcome
Rowanbank sleeps 4-5 people, and is situated in Machrie with spectacular scenery across the Kilbrannan Sound to Kintyre. The sea is only a four minute walk down a lane. Parking is plentiful and the local bus service runs both North and South from the roadside.
There are 2 twin bedrooms (one can become a double on request), and a dressing room with a 2' 6" single bed. Both bedrooms are en-suite, one with a separate walk-in shower.
The cottage is all on one level and is entered by a large south facing porch with plenty of room for two to three people to sit. From here we enter the hall/dining room with fireplace and door to the large enclosed garden, with views over Machrie Bay. The telephone and broadband are located here.
The house has electric heating throughout via night storage heaters, and is double glazed. Electricity is charged at an additional rate.
There is a fully fitted kitchen adjacent to the hall/dining room with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and electric mixer. Next to the kitchen in the utility room is a sink, washing machine and tumble dryer, and a cloakroom.
Comfort at Rowanbank includes a large sitting room with open fireplace and vaulted ceiling. A new flat screen television and Sky Freeview have recently been installed. A dvd player is also provided.
There is outbuilding space for bicycles.
A BBQ is available, and coal is provided at an additional cost..
Well behaved dogs are welcome.
