Kathleen is very pleased to welcome you to her home at Rowanlea Guest House and hope that this visit will be the first of many.

We have welcomed guests from all over the world for the past 17 years, many of whom have returned time and time again.

We are dedicated to making your stay as happy and enjoyable as possible and are pleased to assist in any way.

We are easily accessed by car from every direction and are just a short taxi ride from bus and rail stations. We area also conveniently located for Perth town centre and major visitor attractions like Scone Palace and racecourse, Museum/Art Gallery, Horsecross, and Dewars Ice Rink.

We have ample private parking.

Our ensuite rooms are spotlessly clean and offer every comfort including a very well stocked hospitality tray. Most of our rooms, one of which is on the ground floor, overlook the garden.

We have a beautiful large sun-filled lounge where you can relax and unwind after the day`s travelling.

But - I have left the best till last - our breakfast!!!

Once called a gastronomic ecstasy by a previous guest - we begin breakfast with a huge choice at our buffet starter bar - extensive choices of cereals, yoghurts, juices, fruits (usually about 10 bowls of different types of fruits including in-season local fruits like strawberries and raspberries) and croissants. Help yourself to as much as you want as often as you want. This is followed by your choice of cooked breakfast from the extensive menu. Vegetarian options are available.

The above is followed by freshly made coffee or tea of your choice and toast. All of which are served at individual tables, and unlike many other hostelries, you are not requested to order your breakfast the night before.

We always try our best to make your stay a very happy one so that we might have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Rowanlea some other time in the future.

Public Transport Directions

From the nearest information centre:- From Perth Tourist Information Centre in West Mill Street, Glasgow Road is approximately 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes by car. Leave Perth TIC turning right up West Mill Street and exit right onto Old High Street. At traffic lights turn left to next set of traffic lights where you turn right onto York Place and then Glasgow Road. Continue straight on at the Dewars roundabout to the residential part of Glasgow Road. Rowanlea Guest House is situated on the right.

Getting there by railway:- From Perth train station, a short taxi journey will take you to Glasgow Road. Alternatively, a short walk into the city centre, following Leonard Street down the hill onto York Place will enable you to pick up a number 7 bus from outside the library. This bus is for Hillend and travels the entire length of the Glasgow Road. Rowanlea Guest House is situated on the right.

Getting there by aeroplane:- From Edinburgh airport take M90 motorway northeast to Perth, exiting at junction 11 but following signs for Inverness and Stirling rather than Perth, which will allow you to bypass the town centre and approach from the Broxden roundabout. From the Broxden roundabout follow signs for Perth city centre and continue straight ahead. You will soon reach the residential part of this road- this is Glasgow Road. Rowanlea Guest House is situated on the left.
