Salen Bay Caravan

Overview

Our caravan is situated at the heart of Mull in the village of Salen. It is positioned close to the centre of the village, off the main road and only 200m from all amenities. A large car ferry sails regularly from Oban to Craignure, from Craignure the village of Salen lies on the main bus route to Tobermory making it easily accessible.
Salen is renowned for its beauty, with a backdrop of rolling green hills capped with rugged peaks; the village looks out across the bay to the hills of Morvern. Seals and Otters frequent the bay with the possible sightings of dolphins, porpoise and a host of different sea-birds.
The area is now well documented for its recent addition to the local bird life: the white tailed sea eagle. The sanctuary for the eagles hide is only 3 miles from Salen. White tailed sea eagle and golden eagle sightings are regular and many wildlife tours leave from Salen.
Salen is rich with history; just two mile from Salen, overlooking the bay is the 13th century Aros Castle. MacQuarie's Mausoleum is a short trip from Salen marking the last resting place of Lachlan MacQuarie dubbed the 'Father of Australia'.
For fishing enthusiasts permits for surrounding lochs and rivers are available. There are also two 9-hole golf courses on the island, both within 10 miles of Salen and on the main bus route.
We also offer bike hire, so why not head out along lochs and hills, discover the wildlife and explore the historical sites on bike, with our local knowledge we can offer advice and routes for all ages.
The caravan has a modern kitchen with an elegant spacious living area. The grounds around the caravan are ideal for barbeques with a large picnic table and grass area.
Within the caravan: gas fire, toilet, shower, fridge and freezer, toaster, television with free satellite channels, DVD player, iron and private of road parking and a grassy area with picnic table and barbeque.
The caravan also has its own access to the seashore via a newly constructed path (often shared by red deer from the neighbouring estate).
The caravan is non-smoking. It is child friendly with lots of room to play around the caravan as it is sited a safe distance from the main road.
The caravan is available Saturday to Saturday all year round.
Price: Low Season- £180 per week
High Season- £250 per week
