    Sandholm Holiday Cottage This beautiful 2 bedroom, stone built cottage is located in the Liddlesdale valley, close to the river, about 1 mile east of Newcastleton.

    This 2 bedroom stone built cottage has recently been refurbished to a high standard and provides the following accommodation

    There are gardens to the front and rear and a paddock to the side which is fenced and secure for children or pets.

    The local area provides a wide range of recreational activities including, walking, cycling, golf, fishing and horse riding. Kielder Water and Forest Park is within 30 minutes drive and provides fantastic base for those interested in water sports, walking, cycling and wildlife.

    The surrounding area is rich in historic monuments including Hermitage Castle and the Border Abbeys of Kelso, Jedburgh and Dryburgh. Hadrian's Wall is within 50 minutes drive.

    Road Directions

    From the centre of Newcastleton take the B6357, North Hermitage Street, towards Hawick. Travel approximately 1.5 miles and you will find Sandholm, the last cottage on the right, approximately 150 metres before the bridge over the Liddel and the junction with the B6399

    Public Transport Directions

    From the nearest information centre:- From the Hawick information centre continue up Tower Dykeside and take the B6399, signposted Newcastleton. Continue along this road for 19 miles until reaching the junction with the B6357. Turn right on the B6357 over the narrow bridge and Sandholm is the first cottage on the left approximately 150 meters beyond the bridge.
