Traditional Highland cosy cottage directly across from a beautiful white sand beach of Calgary. Sands Cottage is ideal for stunning walks, diving and water sports and wildlife spotting of sea and golden eagles, otters, deer and seabirds.

Sands Cottage is a two-storey traditional Highland cottage, sleeping six, situated opposite the beautiful white sandy beach of Calgary Bay. The cottage has a fenced garden of about half an acre. Sands Cottage is perfect for a family beach holiday or for a calm and relaxing getaway. The Isle of Mull has numerous attractions and is ideal for walking and cycling. There are nearby opportunities for sailing and boat trips to local islands. Wildlife is prolific and includes golden and sea eagles, buzzards and many other species of birds, otters, seals and deer. As well as sea fishing, the cottage is close to several lochs and rivers for fishing for trout and salmon.
The cottage has 3 bedrooms. The accommodation is comprised of double bedroom downstairs and two rooms with twin beds upstairs. The double bedroom has an en-suite with pumped electric shower, hand basin and WC. The family bathroom is upstairs with a bath, hand basin and WC. All bedrooms have sea views.
The sitting room and dining kitchen are the two focal rooms in the cottage downstairs. A cosy sitting room has a wood burning stove and includes a small but well-chosen library and board games for all ages.  The kitchen is modern and well equipped with integrated electric four ring cooker, grill and oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer. There is stone flooring throughout the ground floor.
We supply duvets and pillows with duvet covers, blankets, fitted sheets and pillows, however, towels should be brought with you. A travel cot is available for infants. There are three electric storage heaters downstairs as well as three electric storage heaters upstairs. Wi-Fi is supplied free of charge to guests. The cottage has a TV/DVD player (no TV signal due to the surrounding hills of the bay), a radio and a stereo. Dogs are permitted but must remain on the ground floor. The cottage is strictly non-smoking. A washing machine and dryer are available for guests.
There is a charge for electricity used at the cottage and an electricity deposit will be requested upon final payment of the rental fee.
